Red Bull King of the Air is the most prestigious title in Big Air kiteboarding. Revived in Cape Town in 2013, it runs in a waiting window during the Cape Doctor season at Kite Beach, Table View: riders qualify via video entry and ranking, and the final only goes ahead when the southeaster blows at full force. Winning KOTA makes careers.
