About this spot
One Eye and Manawa are world-class reef breaks located on the outer edge of the Le Morne reef. One Eye is famous for its fast, hollow, and powerful left-hander, strictly for expert wave riders. Manawa offers a larger, slower rolling swell suitable for those gaining experience in reef waves. There are no facilities at these offshore breaks; riders must launch from the lagoon and kite out. The risks are high, including razor-sharp shallow reefs, powerful surf, and strong currents. Reliable rescue services should be arranged through local centers before heading out.
