Philip Heuhserer founded KitesurfingOfficial in 2022 and runs it from Munich. It began on video channels. The useful part of that — where the wind actually works, which kite to buy at 85 kg, which school to trust in a place you have never been — needed somewhere permanent to live, and that became this site.
He is the publisher and the editor. Under German media law he is the named person responsible for the journalistic content here (§ 18(2) MStV). Corrections go to him directly.
His beat is the whole site: the Scene News desk, where every item carries the source it came from; the gear catalogue behind the Kite Index and Board Index, where each model is scored on the same ten criteria; the spot atlas and the Trusted Network of schools, shops, camps and stays, where a listing is earned by editorial review and never bought; and the Journal, where the longer pieces run.
He also decides what the site will not do. Coverage is not for sale, scores are not for sale, and a claim that cannot be traced back to a source does not get published. Those rules are written down on the editorial standards and ethics pages, so anyone can hold the site to them.

What we cover
Transfers and team moves, results from the world tour and the big-air events, new gear as it launches, and the business decisions behind all of it. Longer pieces, spot reporting and gear background run in the Journal. Everything here is published in English, German and Brazilian Portuguese.
The standards behind this byline
Everything published here follows one written set of rules. Sources are named and linked where they exist, reporting is kept apart from opinion, and a claim that cannot be supported from a source does not run.
AI tools are used across the site for research, drafting and translation, and we say so where they are used. Editorial responsibility stays with a person: KitesurfingOfficial is published from Munich by Philip Heuhserer, who is the responsible party for its journalistic content under § 18(2) of the German Interstate Media Treaty.
Found a mistake?
Corrections come before everything else in the inbox. Send the page and the line you think is wrong, with a source if you have one. A genuine error is fixed with a dated note on the article; if we decide the text stands, you get the reasoning back. Nothing is quietly deleted to make a mistake disappear. We come back on a correction request within a few working days.
