About this spot
The Magdalen Islands (Îles de la Madeleine) sit in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, and almost every wind direction works somewhere: shallow lagoons with butter-flat water on one side, open-sea waves on the other.
The wind statistics are strong through summer and autumn, and the red sandstone cliffs make the setting unmistakable. Getting there takes effort; the reliability pays it back.
