About this spot
Tofino is Canada's surf capital, located on the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island. While primarily a surfing mecca, it hosts a dedicated kiteboarding scene when the North Pacific winds align.
The conditions are typically suited for wave kiting on directional boards. Riders must contend with significant swells and cold water, but are rewarded with some of the most beautiful wilderness scenery in North America.
