About this spot
Considered the birthplace of modern kitesurfing, Kanaha is located on Maui's North Shore. It features reliable side-shore trade winds and a versatile water state.
Within the reef, riders find flatter water ideal for twin tips, while the outer reef provides first-rate beach break waves. Strict launch protocols apply, and there is a very strong local community.
