About this spot
Trincomalee is the primary kiteboarding hub on Sri Lanka's east coast. Unlike the famous west coast spots, this area comes alive during the Northeast monsoon, offering a rideable alternative when the rest of the country is out of season.
The region is less developed than Kalpitiya, providing a more authentic and quiet experience. The conditions are generally characterized by bumps and chop, suitable for freeride sessions along wide, sandy bays.
