The 2026 Worlds ran 9–16 May at Praia do Cabedelo, Viana do Castelo, Portugal. Lauriane Nolot and Max Maeder confirmed their dominance of the Olympic class, taking the women's and men's world titles.
About the event
The Formula Kite World Championships crown the world champions of the Olympic kiteboarding class: hydrofoil racing on registered one-design equipment, governed by the International Kiteboarding Association under World Sailing. Formula Kite made its Olympic debut at Paris 2024 — this is the discipline's biggest annual title.
