About this organization
The International Kiteboarding Association (IKA) governs competitive kiteboard racing as a class association of World Sailing. Its flagship is Formula Kite — hydrofoil racing on registered one-design equipment — which became an Olympic discipline at Paris 2024. The IKA organizes the Formula Kite World Championships, continental championships and youth series, and maintains the class rules and equipment registration that keep the racing fair and the fleets tight.
