About this spot
Cap Ferret is a narrow peninsula separating the Atlantic Ocean from the Bassin d'Arcachon. This unique geography allows riders to choose between the powerful waves of the Atlantic side and the calmer, tidal waters of the bay. The Atlantic side offers excellent wave riding conditions, while the bay provides flatter water suitable for freestyle and beginners depending on the tide. It is a scenic location surrounded by pine forests and oyster farms.
