Dioni (Tsimari)

Dioni (Tsimari) is a remote kitesurfing spot located at the Acheloos River mouth in Greece, featuring mixed water conditions with a flat lagoon ideal for flat water sessions and small waves on the sea side. The water is shallow, ranging from less than 1 meter up to 2 meters deep. Wind conditions primarily come from thermal and storm systems, with workable directions including N, S, NE, and SW. Winds typically range between 15 and 30 knots during the main season from May to September. The spot is busy during peak months and attracts riders of all levels, including beginners, intermediate, advanced, as well as those interested in freestyle and freeride styles. Facilities at the spot include parking, although there is no electricity or fresh water available on site. Dioni (Tsimari) is accessible by car, with the nearest airports at Preveza, Corfu, and Athens.
