Egypt is the most reliable place to learn to kitesurf in the world, and one of the best to progress. The Red Sea coast blows side-shore almost every day of the season over flat, shallow, warm water — the exact combination that turns beginners into confident riders fast. El Gouna, Hurghada, Safaga and Soma Bay have grown into full kite towns because of it.
El Gouna is the hub — a lagoon-and-island system with beginner-friendly bays and open-water freestyle spots, ridden in board shorts most of the year. Hurghada and its offshore islands, Safaga, Soma Bay and Ras Sudr (on the Gulf of Suez, an easy hop from Cairo) round out a coast where the wind statistics are almost unfair. Warm, shallow, side-shore and consistent — it is the textbook place to take a course.
