Afiartis is the premier kiteboarding destination on Karpathos, famous for its intense and reliable Meltemi wind. The wind is accelerated by local topography, often resulting in very strong conditions throughout the summer.
The area is split into different bays offering varying water states, from flat water in the sheltered sections to more challenging chop. It is a high-intensity spot best suited for riders who enjoy powered-up sessions.
