Prea

Prea is one of the premier high-wind destinations in Ceará, Brazil. Known for its raw power, the spot features ocean chop, swell, and waves that cater to big air, freeride, and wave enthusiasts. It is also a top-flight starting point for long-distance downwinders toward Jericoacoara. The wind blows consistently from the E, ESE, and SE, with the most reliable window occurring between July and January. The conditions are generally best suited for intermediate to advanced riders due to the strong wind and shorebreak. The environment is more exposed than the sheltered lagoons of southern Ceará. Infrastructure is excellent, featuring specialized schools, rentals, pousadas, and dedicated downwind operators. Despite the amenities, riders should be prepared for changing tides and thermal strength, which can shift the conditions rapidly throughout the day.
