Harlem Thrive

Harlem started in 2016 as a kite-repair shop in Haarlem. The Thrive grew out of the Dutch big-air scene and is the model that made the brand's name: a three-strut platform tuned for powerful lift, long hangtime and confident loop recovery, in eleven sizes from 5 to 17 square metres — the widest run Harlem builds.

On construction, this page says what the brand says and no more. Harlem names the leading-edge process PRoWELD and the struts laminated Mylar, under a Twincross FlyLite canopy, and the word Dacron appears nowhere on the Thrive's own page. It does appear on the Thrive LiteX — "PROWELD Dacron leading edge" — which is the same outline on the same frame with a lighter canopy, and TheKiteMag's test calls the Thrive "the quickest responding Dacron kite" they know. That is the chain the spec row above rests on: the brand for the sister model, a dated review for this one.

The per-size table is Harlem's own. Weight climbs from 1.65 kilograms in the 5 to 3.53 in the 17, and the recommended line goes 22 metres through the 10 and 24 metres from the 11 upward. The 1.65 in the 5 is the lightest figure anywhere in Harlem's current range, the V2 included — the rebuilt Thrive V2 weighs 1.88 in the same size.

Harlem's wind chart is calculated for an intermediate rider weighing 75 kilograms and runs roughly 24 to 45 on the 5 down to 9 to 16 on the 17. It carries no unit on any page in the range, so the figures here are the brand's numbers and nothing has been converted.
